19 Bizarre Alcohol Flavors That Actually Exist (And Where You Can Get Them)

If someone offered you a glass of wasabi flavored booze, would you drink it? Or what if it were a glass of vodka with a real-life scorpion inside? Would you dare take a sip?

If you were bold enough to answer “yes” to any of those questions, the good news is that you can put your money where your mouth is. Those bizarre alcohol flavors are actually available for purchase and, for all we know, could be sitting on the shelves of liquor shops near you!

Now, if you’re thinking that wasabi and scorpion sound bizarre, just wait until you see the other flavors on this list. Quite a few of them are actually genius (the sweeter ones literally sound like liquid dessert). But then there are those that will make you raise an eyebrow and wonder if the creators were in their right minds… It’s safe to say that the latter is not for the faint of heart.

See some of the most bizarre ways to get buzzed with these weird alcohol flavors.

1. Buttered Popcorn Vodka

Description: “Smooth, buttery flavors combine with a freshly popped corn taste resulting in a product that is unlike anything ever created in the spirits world.”

As much as we love the satisfying crunch of real popcorn, we’re actually dying to try this one out. It just might be the perfect drink to spice up those movie nights!

2. Pecan Pie Whiskey

Description: “Sweet and nutty and just plain delicious, it was a taste we had to bottle. It’s as sweet as Pecan Pie, but it’s made with whiskey, so it’s not too sweet.”

It sounds like the spiked version of a classic dessert – except it doesn’t taste like pure sugar. That’s a major plus in our book!

3. Bacon Flavored Potato Vodka

Description: “It’s clean, crisp, and delicious… We start with superior quality Northwest potatoes instead of the random mixed grains that make up most vodkas. No tinge or burn on the tongue, no obnoxious smoky or chemical flavors, just a clean refreshing potato vodka with delicious savory bacon flavor.”

We won’t lie. Meat-flavored vodka sounds weird AF. But we imagine the flavor isn’t too overpowering, and it would make for an interesting ingredient in maple cocktails!

4. Pumpkin Pie Cream Liqueur

Description: “Taken chilled and straight it’s super sweet and creamy, reminiscent of Irish cream, transformed into liquid pumpkin pie. There’s a hint of nuttiness as well, if you can hold it on your tongue long enough before the alcohol bites.”

That description alone makes us want to swap out the pie slices and sip on this sweet liqueur for Thanksgiving. Granted, we’d probably be buzzed by the end of dinner.

5. Birthday Cake White Wine: Cheesecake

Description: “With the flavors you’d expect from a classic New York Cheesecake, this is the perfect white wine specialty for any occasion you may have a craving for something a little indulgent, yet still want that wine experience.”

Step aside, Cheesecake Factory! It sounds like we just found our new addiction. Other flavors that this brand offers include Cake Batter, Coffee Cake, Black Forrest Cake, and Strawberry Shortcake.

6. Spud Vodka Heirloom Tomato

Description: “Spud Tomato is a creamy vodka with a smooth finish. All spud vodkas are gluten-free and are made with five-times distilled potato vodka for an incredible taste experience.”

So essentially, it’s sort of like drinking freshly picked tomatoes with an extra dose of vodka for that extra kick. Or at least, we think so. “Creamy vodka” are two words that don’t usually go together and we’re not sure how we like them combined.

7. Glazed Donut Vodka

Description: “The sweetest of treats, 360 Glazed Donut combines fresh donut flavor with a sweet glazed finish for an unexpected twist on everyone’s favorite comfort food. Indulge your sweet tooth with one of our signature glazed donut cocktails or sip it on its own.”

Well, who needs Krispy Kremes when we’ve got this bottle of liquid goodness that tastes just like it?

8. Smoked Salmon Vodka

Description: “Enjoy the rare and complex character of our Alaska smoked salmon flavored vodka. Made with pristine Alaska glacier ice, we blend our handcrafted vodka with just the right amount of spice to perfect any bloody Mary.”

It sounds fishy and a little bit gross (we prefer our fish solid, thank you very much). But even if you’re not a big fan of salmon, you can always use this to add a unique flavor to your brunch Bloody Marys!

9. Blueberry Pancake Liqueur

There’s no official description, but it’s said to combine the flavors of blueberries, pancakes, and maple syrup. As you can imagine, it’s super sweet.

If you’re feeling tempted to try this booze for breakfast, we suggest you stick to your good old solids. And if you don’t like too much sweetness, you can always use it for cocktail mixes or maybe even try it in a dessert recipe!

10. Jalapeño Wine

Description: “Slightly spicy, Jalapeno Wine, with a balanced light sweetness. Excellent sipping wine on a quiet evening at home or with friends. Try it as an aperitif before your next meal to stimulate your taste buds and appetite. Add it to your sangria for that something special. Its uses are limited only by your imagination.”

The perfect wine for sipping and cooking?? Sign us up! (As long as it doesn’t kill our taste buds.) Those who like it spicy will like this flavor, those who don’t better steer clear.

11. Wasabi Vodka

Description: “This tribute to the spicy burn of the sharp Asian condiment will satisfy your craving for something fiery.”

Ummm… Yeah. Most of us can barely handle eating a pinch of wasabi with our sushi. So the mere idea of drinking alcohol that’s infused with it actually sounds like torture. But hey, if you’re feeling adventurous and you enjoy the taste of wasabi, we say go for it.

12. Sesame & Popcorn Daiquiri

Description: “Cinema style popcorn and lightly toasted sesame seeds are infused into our white rum before we build this tangy, savory cocktail. A little bit nutty, a little bit fun and a whole bunch of delicious.”

It sounds like an odd combo but it’s pretty clever! Why bother to pair popcorn with a cocktail when you can just combine it all into one?

13. Caramel Apple Vodka

Description: “Pinnacle Caramel Apple creates a taste reminiscent of freshly picked tart green apples covered in buttery caramel, leaving a crisp, smooth finish on the palate.”

I anyone else suddenly craving a candy apple right now? This Pinnacle flavor is perfect for anyone with a major sweet tooth, and it’s also great for mixing!

14. Scorpion Vodka

Description: “Skorppio features five-times distilled 100% pure grain vodka with clean, pesticide-free, farm-raised scorpions. Their venom has been removed – they are ready to be enjoyed.”

You just gotta love how they described those scorpions like fresh vegetables. “Pesticide free,” “farm raised,” and “ready to be enjoyed.” But to us, they’re still terrifying creatures… And we’re not sure how we feel about having them in our drinks. *cringes*

15. Fresh Cut Grass Vodka

Description: “One day my llama distracted the janitor when he was mowing my factory lawn and there was an accident. A fortuitous accident with a crisp and citrusy outcome.”

We’ve never tasted freshly cut grass before, but it sounds like this drink might’ve captured it pretty well. Now we’re actually curious to try it!

16. Peanut Butter and Jam Old Fashioned

Description: “It all starts with Bourbon. Good Bourbon. The stuff from Kentucky, straight, and matured for around 4-years in new oak casks. We take the bourbon and distill some of it with organic peanut butter… Our peanut butter bourbon is then mixed with more bourbon, a touch of pink Himalayan sea salt, and raspberry syrup made by our own fair hands. PB&J; is an Old Fashioned at heart, not too-sweet, not too-fiery, just about perfect.”

This is just beyond brilliant because it’s blending a childhood favorite with almost every adult’s favorite drink. And get this: All bottles are sealed with raspberry scented wax.

Description: It has a “delicate, light aroma with a sweet chocolate chip cookie dough taste.”

We haven’t even tried it and we’re obsessed already. Though this vodka can definitely be sipped on its own, it’s actually meant to be mixed. So if you love to experiment with cocktails, this the perfect alcohol to add to your collection! TBH, I’m probably going to be sticking to the real cookie dough but you do you.

18. Chocolate Mint Whiskey

Description: “Ballotin Chocolate Mint plays on the classic pairing, with a welcome, spirited twist. Cool mint, dark chocolate, and elegant, spicy whiskey notes.”

Mint chocolate lovers, meet your new match! You can also try Ballotin’s other chocolate flavors, including Caramel Turtle, Bourbon Ball, and Original Chocolate.

19. Electricity Vodka

Description: “Ever wondered what a bolt of lightning tastes like? Me too. That’s why I created this shockingly good tongue-tickling shot. Now lightning can strike as often as you like.”

Well, literally getting struck by lightning probably isn’t the best way to describe this… But we love the idea of giving electricity a distinct taste and feel. We just hope that our tongues are still intact after taking a few sips.
