There are few things in this world that are as heartwarming as an adorable celebrity pregnancy announcement. Celebs love to break the internet with their happy news, and we lap up their funny, unexpected, and just plain cute posts. There have been some pretty striking social media baby bump shots over the past few years! I don’t think any of us will forget Beyoncé’s full-on photo shoot any time soon, or Chrissy Teigen’s recent adorable announcement. Did anyone else get a little bit emotional when they heard Chrissy and John’s news? Who am I kidding, of course you did.
Queen Bey and social media icon Chrissy aren’t the only famous faces to reveal a pregnancy in a super-cute way, though! We’ve put together a roundup of the best and the most beautiful baby bump reveals of the past few years. Warning: a severe case of the feels may follow. Keep your tissues handy.
1. Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis
Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde kept their first pregnancy fairly quiet back in 2013, simply confirming the happy news through their publicist. However, news of pregnancy number two was shared through one of the cutest Instagram posts ever. Wilde shared a beautiful black-and-white shot of herself and her young son, Otis, sat on a bed. While Otis pushed his stomach out to give the effect of a bump, Wilde didn’t have to fake it. She was pregnant with daughter Daisy, who she welcomed into the world in October last year! The photo was captioned ‘Matching baby bumps,’ and the whole thing was just incredibly sweet.
2. Jaime King and Kyle Newman
Hart of Dixie actress Jaime King is another celeb who sadly faced a real struggle to get pregnant. However, after numerous fertility treatments, she gave birth to first child James Knight back in 2013. James played a starring role in King and husband Kyle Newman’s second pregnancy announcement in 2015, which made for one pretty adorable Instagram post. James was snapped blowing bubbles while sat with a sign that revealed he was going to be a big brother. So cute! King gave birth to her second son, Leo Thames, in July 2015. Leo’s got a pretty famous godmother: it’s his mom’s BFF Taylor Swift! He’s a two-year-old with friends in very high places.
3. Nev Schulman and Laura Perlongo
We were pretty surprised when Catfish host Nev Schulman announced that he was expecting his first child with girlfriend Laura Perlongo, and we weren’t the only ones. Perlongo shared her feelings of shock in a blog post shortly after she discovered the news and the initial terror of receiving such life-changing news. She and Schulman had only been dating for a short while and had been long-distance for much of their relationship. However, the couple decided to go ahead with their pregnancy, with Schulman sharing the news in a pretty ecstatic tweet. Perlongo gave birth to their daughter, Cleo, in October last year, and the happy couple married this July in a sweet summer ceremony.
4. Kevin and Danielle Jonas
In April of last year, the oldest Jonas brother found a pretty hilarious way to share the news that he and his wife were expecting baby number two. Kevin Jonas shared a shot of himself and his wife, Danielle, “preparing for baby number two.” Kevin can be seen reading a pregnancy preparation book, while Danielle is living the dream of being totally surrounded by food. Well, she was eating for two, after all! The couple welcomed their second daughter, Valentina Angelina Jonas, in October 2016. Her two famous uncles (Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas, of course) were utterly thrilled, as was her adorable big sister, Alena Rose.
5. Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher
Country crooner Carrie Underwood was a dog mama far before she had a human baby of her own. She decided to incorporate her two pooches, Ace and Penny, into her pregnancy announcement back in 2014. The result was almost too much cuteness to handle. Ace and Penny wore sweaters declaring that they were going to be a big brother and sister, but not to another pet dog – to an actual human baby! Underwood and her husband Mike Fisher welcomed their first child, son Isaiah Michael, in February 2015. Here’s hoping Ace and Penny approved of the new tiny human on the block!
6. Robert Downey Jr. and Susan Downey
Iron Man actor Robert Downey Jr. is well known for his sardonic wit, snappy tweets, and generally great sense of humor. Consequently, none of us were surprised by the manner in which he shared the news of his wife Susan Downey’s pregnancy back in 2014. On Facebook, he paid tribute to the general awesomeness of womankind with a status claiming “I don’t know if it’s a ‘man’s world,’ but I’m certain women run it. Susan and I are therefore delighted to announce we are expecting a baby. Girl.” Yeah, Robert! He knows who runs the world (girls). He and Susan welcomed their daughter, baby Avri, in November 2014.
7. Stacey Keibler and Jared Pobre
Former professional wrestler Stacey Keibler totally nailed the ‘funny pregnancy announcement’ game back in 2014. Shortly after she eloped in Mexico with husband Jared Pobre, she revealed that she was expecting by taking the phrase “I’ve got a bun in the oven” completely literally. Yep. She posted a snap of a literal bun in her actual oven. It was a simple yet effective statement. Keibler gave birth to her daughter, Ava Grace Pobre, in August 2014, who’s turned out to be the cutest baby in the history of babies. Seriously. Look at that little smile! It’s enough to melt even the coldest of hearts.
8. Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo
Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine and model Behati Prinsloo have pretty good form when it comes to pregnancy announcements. The first time around, Levine posted an adorable snap to Instagram of Prinsloo and her bump, captioning it “my two favorite Laker fans.” When baby number two came along, it was Prinsloo herself who decided to break Instagram with the news. She posted a gorgeous mirror selfie that also just happened to reveal that she had another baby bump growing! Levine and Prinsloo’s second child is due sometime in 2018, and we’re super excited for them — and for their adorable daughter, Dusty Rose, who’s about to become a big sis!
9. Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel
They’re one of the world’s cutest celebrity couples, so of course, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel upped the adorableness stakes with their pregnancy announcement back in January 2015. They shared their happy news on JT’s 34th birthday, sharing a beautiful snap of the man himself kissing his wife’s growing baby bump. The two welcomed their son, Silas Randall Timberlake, just three months after they made the announcement. Judging by the range of adorable photos he’s shared of his son, Justin is a doting and dedicated dad, and Jessica is #momgoals. As if we didn’t love these two enough already…
10. Jensen Ackles and Danneel Harris Ackles
Supernatural star Jensen Ackles may spend his work days fighting demons with on-screen brother Jared Padalecki, but his home life is a whole lot more chilled out. He welcomed baby number one, a daughter named Justice Jay (who’s clearly going to grow up to be a superhero with a name like that) with wife Daneel back in 2013. However, it was their second pregnancy announcement that made us squee with delight. Ackles shared an adorable snap of her family’s cowboy boots all lined up… including two new baby pairs! The couple welcomed their twins, a boy and a girl, in December 2016.
11. Lauren Conrad and William Tell
2017 has been a baby-heavy year for the former stars of The Hills! Heidi Montag, Whitney Port, and Lauren Conrad have all welcomed little bundles of joy into the world in the past 12 months. However, Conrad outdid her former co-stars when it came to announcing she was expecting. She posted an adorable ultrasound snap back on New Year’s Day captioned “I have a feeling 2017 is going to be the best year yet”… and it was for this fam! Conrad and husband William Tell welcomed their son, also called William but nicknamed ‘Liam,’ back in July.
12. Jack and Lisa Osbourne
Jack Osbourne and his wife Lisa already have two adorable daughters – oldest is Pearl Clementine, and then two-year-old Andy Rose. However, back in August, they announced that baby number three is in the pipeline. Lisa posted a mirror selfie featuring her growing bump, hilariously captioned “Literally ate the biggest burrito ever.” Come on, Lisa, we all know that’s not a food baby! The latest addition to the Osbourne clan is expected sometime in early 2018, and might not be the last baby for the couple! In the past, the couple has admitted that they want a pretty large family – maybe even five kids! With this pregnancy, they’re well on their way — that’s for sure.
13. Jessica Alba and Cash Warren
Back in July, mom-of-two Jessica Alba announced that she and hubby Cash Warren are expecting baby number three via a balloon-themed Boomerang. Daughters Honor, nine, and Haven, six, got in on the action too, holding their ‘1’ and ‘2’ balloons and looking incredibly sweet. The two are imminently going to become big sisters to a little boy, due sometime in the near future. The question is, which ‘H’ name will Alba and Cash go with this time? Hayden? Harry? Hugo? Or maybe they’ll break their tradition and go with something starting with a totally different letter? I guess we’ll have to wait and see!

Destiny’s Child alum and all-around superstar Kelly Rowland used the power of tiny shoes to make us all melt with her 2014 pregnancy announcement. Rowland confirmed rumors that she was expecting by posting an Instagram pic of a tiny pair of Air Jordans next to her husband Tim Witherspoon’s own, much bigger shoes. So cute! Rowland and Witherspoon were ecstatic to be first-time parents. They welcomed their baby boy, Titan Jewell Witherspoon, in November 2014. Pro tip: you should under no circumstances ask Rowland if Titan is going to date Blue Ivy Carter when the two grow up. Judging by past interviews, it sounds like Kel is pretty sick of that question already.
15. Beyoncé and Jay-Z
Back in 2011, Beyoncé set the bar pretty high for pregnancy announcements after revealing her first burgeoning bump live on stage at the VMAs. Flash forward to 2017, and Queen B left us all 100% shook once again when she announced that the Carters would soon be a family of five. Blue Ivy was about to become a big sister times two because Bey and Jay-Z would be having twins! That famous Instagram photo shoot came as a total surprise and was utterly stunning in every way. Bey and Jay welcomed son Sir and daughter Rumi into the world back in June. Could this family get much cuter? Probably not.
16. Chelsea Peretti and Jordan Peele
How annoying must it be to be all set to announce your pregnancy, only for Beyoncé to totally steal your thunder? Well, Chelsea Peretti dealt with that situation pretty well all things considered. She announced that she was expecting her first child with husband Jordan Peele three days after Queen B dropped THAT Instagram post, rather hilariously captioning her own bump shot ‘beyonce schmonce.’ You tell ‘em, Chelsea! Your news is just as important as B’s! Peretti and Peele welcomed a son, Beaumont Gino Peele, back in July. Gina Linetti, Peretti’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine character, is yet to welcome her new baby into the world. Producers decided that rather than hide Chelsea’s baby bump, they’d just incorporate it into the plot! Clever stuff.
17. Chrissy Teigen and John Legend
While any celeb pregnancy news fills us with joy, there’s been a special poignancy behind both of Chrissy Teigen’s happy announcements. Teigen and husband John Legend have made no secret of their fertility struggles and conceived their one-year-old daughter, Luna, and their unborn child through IVF. On top of the special nature of their news, Teigen and Legend made extra waves with their announcements thanks to the former being a total social media queen. The first time around, Teigen shared a joyful black-and-white shot of Legend cradling her burgeoning bump. This time, baby Luna shared the news in an adorable video. We can’t wait for these guys to become a family of four.
