16 Celebrities You Forgot Had Kids Together

There’s a good chance that, for the most part, you know which celebrity couples have children together. Jay-Z and Beyonce’s too-cool-for-school daughter Blue Ivy is a fashion icon in her own right. Stormi Webster is not even one year old and already has dozens of fan Instagram accounts dedicated to her.

No matter how well versed you are in celebrity family trees, sometimes a relationship – and a resulting child – can slip through the cracks. Whether they procreated decades ago or just a few years back, how many of these celebrity children did you totally forget about?!

16. Michael Sheen & Kate Beckinsale

The two British actors dated from 1995 to 2003. The pair never married (despite Beckinsale wanting to), but they did have a daughter in 1999 and named her Lily Mo Beckinsale-Sheen. Now almost 20, Lily is just as gorgeous as her mother as seen on her Instagram. She seems like your average girl – just insanely cooler.

15. Tom Cruise & Nicole Kidman

It was a completely different world where Nicole Kidman wasn’t with Keith Urban. It seems like a nightmare. Cruise and Kidman got together in the ’90s while filming Days of Thunder and married shortly after. The couple was together for 11 years and adopted two kids – Bella and Connor. Nowadays, it seems like Nicole’s become estranged with the kids due to their affiliation with Scientology but TBH sometimes we forget Cruise is a dad to anyone besides Suri Cruise.

14. Pete Wentz & Ashlee Simpson

Let’s throw it back to our emo days. Fall Out Boy heartthrob Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson’s romance started in 2006, and the couple was married by 2008. Weeks later, the couple announced Simpson was pregnant; then they had their son, Bronx in 2009. Sadly, the couple ended things just two years later.

13. Orlando Bloom & Miranda Kerr

Pirates of the Caribbean got a whole lot sexier in 2007 when this pirate started dating a Victoria’s Secret model. By 2010, the gorgeous couple got married on the DL. That same year, Kerr announced she was pregnant in a Vogue interview, and Flynn was born in 2011. The couple wound up splitting in 2013, but they seem to co-parent pretty well.

12. Dennis Quaid & Meg Ryan

Who KNEW?! Our ’90s dreams came true, and we never knew it. Quaid and Ryan fell in love while filming D.O.A. and tied the knot 1991. One year later, the couple welcomed their son Jack into the world, and their marriage lasted a decade. The two filed for divorce in 2001 when allegations of Quaid’s infidelity emerged. We’re choosing not to believe it.

11. Tom Brady & Bridget Moynahan

New England Patriots sensation Brady and Blue Bloods’ Moynahan dated from 2004 to 2006. Shortly after the couple split, Moynahan announced she was pregnant which was awkward because Brady had already gotten together with Gisele Bündchen. However, all went well and John Edward Thomas was born in 2007. The couple is civil and co-parenting, and John has a couple of half-siblings on his dad’s side.

10. Kevin Federline & Britney Spears

The “Lucky” singer got together with backup dancer Kevin Federline in 2004. The relationship was a messy whirlwind, and the couple had two sons by 2006 – Sean and Jayden. The marriage ended in 2007 with a difficult divorce and custody battle. In fact, the fallout from their split still continues to this day. K-Fed recently made headlines for trying to get Brit to pay more child support. Obviously, Spears wasn’t having it.

9. Ryan Gosling & Eva Mendes

If you were hoping for a reunion between Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams, byeeeee. What’s funny about this pairing is that they’re still together – they just fly seriously under the radar. Gosling and Eva Mendes started dating sometime in 2011. While the couple is extremely private, word got out that the two were expecting a baby girl in 2013 and Esmeralda was born in 2014, followed by sister Amada in 2016. There’s still no marriage (that we know of, TBH), but they’re definitely going strong.

8. Bruce Willis & Demi Moore

Pre Demi and Ashton, there was Demi and Bruce. The duo met in 1987 and had three daughters together – Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah Willis, the eldest of which competed on – and won – Dancing with the Stars with both her parents in the crowd cheering her on multiple occasions. But after staying together for a little over ten years, Bruce and Demi were divorced in 2000. Both moved on to new marriages but continue to be great friends.

7. Ryan Phillippe & Reese Witherspoon

Cruel Intentions fans, this one is for you. The iconic couple was dating before they started filming the cult classic film, but it was on set that they grew even closer. They were married in 1999 and had Ava Phillippe that same year. The young couple then went on to have a son, Deacon, in 2003, before separating in 2006 amid rumors that Ryan cheated on his Legally Blonde wife. We may never know the truth, but Reese says she has no regrets about getting married so young.

6. Seal & Heidi Klum

British singer Seal and German model Heidi Klum first met in 2004. After getting engaged on a glacier (wow talk about #goals), the two were married in 2005. They had three biological children together starting with Henry, followed by Jonah and Lou. However, when Seal and Heidi started dating, she was already pregnant with a child with Flavio Briatore, with whom she’d recently broken up. Heidi has said Briatore wasn’t present in Helene’s life and that Seal was her real father – just not biologically. Even so, Seal and Klum divorced in 2012.

5. Jeffrey Dean Morgan & Hilarie Burton

Talk about sneaky. The celebrity couple is known for their intensely private relationship and actually had their son Augustus in 2010 with pretty much nobody finding out. They’ve since ditched the Hollywood spotlight, moved to NY, and live on a quiet farm. Just last year, the two announced a baby girl is on the way.

4. Marc Anthony & Jennifer Lopez

Anthony and Lopez met while he was performing on Broadway. The relationship didn’t amount to anything at first since J-Lo was still dating Ben Affleck. However, the two singers wound up falling in love and got hitched in 2004. They welcomed twins Max and Emme in 2008. After ten years of marriage, the two split in 2014. Pretty sad split, but the twins are just adorable.

3. Guy Ritchie & Madonna

Director Ritchie and pop icon Madonna first met in 1998 and had a son together, Rocco, in 2000, before later adopting a son named David. Later that year, the couple got married and stayed together until 2008. Now, Madonna’s usually seen with a much younger guy on her arm and Guy is keeping things pretty quiet – though he does have three more kids with Jacqui Ainsley.

2. David Bowie & Iman

Name a more iconic duo. The musical icon and fashion model met in 1990, and it was love at first sight. The couple had a gorgeous wedding in Tuscany in 1992, followed eight years later by the birth of their daughter Alexandria. The magical pairing beat the odds and stayed together up until the legend’s 2016 passing. Their daughter goes by “Lexi” now, and if her Instagram presence is any indication, she’s cool AF, just like her parents.

1. Brian Austin Green & Vanessa Marcil

That’s right. Before Brian Austin Green and Megan Fox (gasp), there was his Beverly Hills 90210 costar Vanessa Marcil. The celebrity couple met on the set of their show but didn’t start dating until 1999. In 2001, they got engaged, and by 2002, the couple had a son named Kassius. One year later, the couple decided to call it quits. While Kassius is Marcil’s only child, he has three half-siblings on his father’s side – those you’re probably a bit more familiar with.
