Big Brother has become a summer staple in many American households and Season 19 is set to premiere this Wednesday, June 28 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and promises months of twists and turns for the recently-announced houseguests. In honor of all the amazingness that is BB (and because we basically can’t wait for Wednesday), we’re here to count down the ten best Big Brother houseguests of all time. Expect the unexpected!
10. “Evel” Dick Donato
The winner of Season 8 is hands-down one of the most memorable houseguests of all time. Whether he was banging pots and pans in the middle of the night or verbally chewing out other contestants, he definitely left his mark on the legacy that is Big Brother!
9. Dan Gheesling
Dan played in both “Big Brother 10” and “Big Brother 14,” winning season 10 with ease. His impeccable smooth talk helped him coast through both stints on the show, and now the guy is known as one of the best players who have ever appeared in the house.
8. Dr. Will Kirby
America has a love-hate relationship with Dr. Will, to say the least, but his Chilltown bromance with Mike “Boogie” ultimately made him a fairly likeable player.
7. Janelle Pierzina
Say what you want about the blonde bombshell, but she could win comps and knew how to work the house, and we all know how critical both qualities can be on the reality show.
6. Derrick Levasseur
Derrick knew how to make other houseguests do his bidding and by placing the blame elsewhere, he easily slid into the Winner’s Circle on Season 16. The fact that he got Cody Calafiore to bring him to final two when he was clearly a better player is just one piece of evidence that the guy really knew what he was doing in the house. When Nicole Franzel (who later won BB18), told Der that he reminded her of Dan — he knew she had to go… which is exactly what he made happen.
5. Frankie Grande
Ariana Grande‘s brother was undoubtedly one of the most outspoken contestants on Season 16. He’s gone down in BB history as one of the most hated houseguests of all time due to his misogynistic and lesbian-phobic comments that aired on the live-stream, but hate-watching him definitely made things entertaining. It was his larger-than-life personality that ended up getting him evicted, but MY GOD he made things interesting.
4. Mike “Boogie” Malin
Fans of Chilltown are inevitably fans of Mike “Boogie,” one half of the bromance that took Season 7 by storm. His gameplay is still considered legendary by Big Brother fans and players alike.
3. Jun Song
Jun defined what it meant to be a “floater” back in Season 4 and laid the groundwork for floaters in seasons to come. Just sit back, relax and watch the house fights break out around you!
2. Ian Terry
Ian showed us why it’s cool to be nerdy – big brains can help you win Big Brother! The winner of Season 14 also notably eliminated Mike “Boogie,” a legend of the game who was back for another go. Give credit where credit is due. If BB18 taught us anything, it’s that new houseguests sometimes forget that eliminating returnees is the smartest move you can make
1. Britney Hayes
Not only was Britney one of the funniest contestants to ever play the game, but she redefined what it meant to be manipulative JUST for the sake of winning — and we’ve gotta respect that.
